Withdrawal from the contract
Withdrawal from the contract and cancelling your subscription
Here you will find what rights you have when withdrawing from the contract, how to cancel your subscription and your account, how to ask for your data to be deleted, and the form you can use to tell us. There is nothing to print or send by post: we accept the notice online and send you a confirmation by e-mail.
What applies to you
For online services, withdrawal from the contract depends mainly on the capacity in which you entered into it. A consumer, that is a private individual, is protected by consumer protection law. If you buy as a business (with a Slovak company ID, IČO, or another business registration), the relationship is governed by the Slovak Commercial Code and our terms and conditions.
14 days without giving a reason
If you use Quotioo as a private individual for non-business purposes, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion, that is from the activation of your subscription.
- You do not have to give a reason.
- The deadline is met if you send the notice no later than on its last day.
- We will refund any payments we owe you within 14 days of receiving your notice of withdrawal, using the same means of payment you used.
Simply fill in the form below; we do not need any other form from you.
Users who entered into the contract as a business
The statutory 14-day right to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason belongs to consumers. If you entered into the contract as a business, termination of the contract and cancellation of your subscription are governed by the General Terms and Conditions of the Quotioo Service and any individual agreement.
- You can cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription at any time; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- You can also withdraw if we materially breach the contract.
Starting to use the service before the 14 days are up. If you ask for the paid Quotioo service to start before the withdrawal period has expired, you do not automatically lose your right to withdraw from the contract. If you withdraw within the statutory period, you may, where the statutory conditions are met, be required to pay a proportionate price for the service actually provided until your notice of withdrawal was received.
Different rules may apply to separately ordered digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium. The right to withdraw from such an order may be lost only once the statutory conditions have been met, including your express consent, acknowledgement and confirmation.
If you are not sure whether this applies to you, send the notice anyway. We will assess it and reply within two working days.
How to cancel a subscription
Cancelling a subscription and withdrawing from the contract are not the same thing. Withdrawal cancels the contract from the start, whereas cancelling a subscription only stops it from renewing.
| Situation | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Monthly subscription | A month that has been paid for is not refunded retrospectively. However, you can cancel your subscription at any time; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for and no further payment is taken. |
| Annual subscription | Cancelling stops the renewal for the following year. A refund of the proportionate part for unused months goes beyond what the law requires, so we assess it case by case. Tell us in your notice what you are asking for. |
| A breach of contract on our part | If the service does not work for a long time, you can exercise your rights in respect of defects, including withdrawal from the contract. If we change the terms materially to your detriment, you can terminate the contract without penalty before the change takes effect. In the reason, describe what happened and when. |
| Closing your account | We close the account on the basis of your notice. Until we close it, the data in your budgets remains available, so you have time to export it. If you still need access to it, let us know. |
Watch out for automatic renewal. If you do not cancel your subscription before the end of the billing period, it renews and the payment for the next period is taken. It is therefore best to send your notice a few days early.
Deleting your account and data
Cancelling your subscription does not close your account, and closing your account does not in itself delete everything. If you want us to delete your data, choose Close account and delete data in the form below, or write to us at gdpr@quotioo.com.
Your account and its content
- Your login details, name, e-mail address and profile photo.
- The budgets, bills of quantities and quotes you have created.
- The link to the social network account you used to log in.
We will deal with your request within 30 days at the latest and confirm the deletion to you by e-mail.
What the law requires us to keep
- Invoices and accounting documents for the period required by accounting law.
- Records needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
These records are no longer used to operate the account, only to comply with a legal obligation. Read more in our privacy policy.
If you log in with Facebook. From Facebook we receive only your name, e-mail address and profile photo; we do not read anything else about you and we do not pass this data on. You can remove the connection directly in Facebook under Settings and privacy, Settings, Apps and websites, where you remove Quotioo.
Removing it in Facebook, however, only disconnects the login. The data we hold about you in Quotioo remains until you send a request using the form below or by e-mail to gdpr@quotioo.com. If you want to keep your account and simply stop using Facebook, set a password using password reset and log in with your e-mail address.
Withdrawal and cancellation form
To match your notice to the right account, we need your login and the telephone number you have in it. We ask you to confirm both, because a typo would mean we cannot find the account while your deadline keeps running.
Prefer e-mail?
info@quotioo.com We also accept a notice sent by ordinary e-mail. Please include your login and the telephone number from your account so that we know who it concerns.
What the terms say
The duration of the contract, subscription renewal and refunds are described in the terms and conditions.
