Partnerships
Quotioo is an app where a build is costed item by item before the first pallet is bought. If you make or sell building materials, this is where the customer decides what to use.
One rule always applies: working with a brand must never make the budget worse, and the budget is why people use Quotioo.
Four ways to work with us
Brands and builders merchants
When a budget contains a work item with no material assigned, Quotioo can suggest what belongs there. Alongside that suggestion it can add a labelled alternative from your brand. The four steps below show exactly what happens.
Work item without material
The user enters a piece of work, such as pouring the foundation slab. Until a material is assigned to it, Quotioo marks the item as incomplete.
Catalogue suggestion
The first suggestion comes from the price catalogue. It follows from the work item code, it is the same for everyone and this order never changes.
Labelled brand alternative
A second option with your material is added next to it. It is labelled as a partner recommendation and the user can see why it is there.
The choice stays with the user
If they choose your material, the item remembers it. The same information carries on into the request for quote and the budget export.
Suggestion from the price catalogue
Ready-mixed concrete C 25/3033.80 m³
The first suggestion comes from the catalogue. It is based on the work item code and is the same for everyone.
Partner recommendation
Your brand Concrete C 25/30 with delivery and pumping on site
A second option, clearly labelled. It sits below the catalogue suggestion, never in its place.
Material assigned to the work item
Your brand Concrete C 25/30 with delivery and pumping on site 33.80 m³
The brand label stays on the item. It goes with it into the request for quote and into the budget export.
A budget that pushed a brand ahead of the facts would stop being a budget.
First step for manufacturers: publish your materials catalogue on Quotioo
How a rule is set up
You are not buying ad space or clicks. We agree on a group of work where your material makes sense, and Quotioo offers it there as an alternative. Rules are configuration, not code, so they can be narrowed or switched off at any time.
Concrete work
Waterproofing
External wall insulation
If two rules fit the same work item, the one with the more precise work group applies. An agreement can cover a whole group or a single type of work item.
A work item that no rule matches gets only the catalogue suggestion derived from its description. An empty slot is never filled with a random brand.
A new rule takes effect the next time the budget is opened. Nothing is precalculated, so a partnership can also be ended overnight.
We do not yet offer a connection to a product feed or online shop, prices from your system or advertising space in the app. The first partnership is always a pilot on selected groups of items, with agreed labelling and a joint review.
Suppliers and merchants
This route needs no agreement or contract. The client sends you a link to an unpriced budget: items, quantities and units of measure, without their own prices. You fill in your prices and send them back.
The link is enough. Pricing works on a phone too and there is nothing to install.
With a free account your draft saves itself and you can finish it on another device.
To fill in, In progress, Sent, Closed, Archived. You can see what state your quote is in.
When the deadline of a request you have started is close, you get an e-mail. Even after the link expires you can see what you sent.
You do not and never will see competing quotes or the client’s internal figures. Without that, nobody would send an unpriced budget.
Estimators and designers
If you know how to put together a budget for a bathroom, a roof structure or wall insulation, you can turn it into a template: the sections and items of the budget, the dimensions and options the user enters, and the formulas that calculate quantities from them. Prices are filled in from the price list, so a budget from your template is priced straight away.
Your publisher profile with logo and description appears in the template catalogue, when a budget is created and in the header of the Excel export.
All your templates share one page on quotioo.com that people can link to and search engines can index.
How many teams added the template, how many budgets were created from it, the average rating and views over 7 and 30 days.
It arrives straight in the template editor with the statuses New, Accepted, Done and Rejected. The person who wrote it finds out how you dealt with it.
When you publish a new version, teams with an older budget get an update proposal and decide for themselves. Nothing changes under their feet.
You can withdraw a template at any time. Teams already using it keep their budgets, but nobody new can get it.
How it works
Publishing is free and allowed on every plan, including the free one. We have not yet built paid template sales. If you would want them, tell us, because demand decides what we build next.
Catalogue houses and standard designs
A template with variables is also a configurator. It gets its own page on quotioo.com, where visitors enter dimensions and options and immediately see the calculated quantities and an indicative price. With one button they take the result into the app, and the budget is created with your name on it.
For you, it is an enquiry that arrives already costed. For the visitor, it is a first figure they do not have to ask anyone for.
What you need to know up front
Unit prices are not sent to the website, because we protect the content of the price catalogue.
Items with no link to the price list are flagged in the total. Nothing pretends to be more precise than it is.
The result can be taken over once. In the app it is recalculated with the current price list and the user sees if prices have moved in the meantime.
Technically it is the same interface, it only needs your domain to be allowed. We do this by agreement, as a pilot.
Rules
A partner who learns where the line is in advance does not take offence. One who runs into it later does.
A partner recommendation never overrides the catalogue specification. It always comes second.
Always and visibly, right next to the item. We do not offer hidden recommendations, not even for an extra fee.
Budgets, quotes and costs belong to the team that created them. We do not move them between teams and we do not sell them.
We check structure, units and links to the price list. Partly so that your work does not have to compete with empty templates.
The template is yours, including the right to withdraw it from the catalogue.
Frequently asked questions
The answers are as they stand today, not as we would like them to be.
Cannot find your answer?
Write to us →The first partnership is a pilot and we agree it individually. We have no price per click or per view, because the number of views is not what brings a partner an order.
No. The catalogue specification is always the first suggestion and the partner recommendation is always the second, labelled option. We do not change this rule under any circumstances.
Not yet. Today a rule points to a material group in the price catalogue, not to a specific stock item. If you have a feed, tell us what data it contains. A materials catalogue is a different matter: you send it to us as an XLSX file through the page for manufacturers, and newer price lists the same way.
No. The link from the client is enough. An account adds saving of a quote in progress, an overview and history.
Not by name. Statistics are aggregated: counts, versions, rating and views. No personal data and no team names.
It is indicative and excludes VAT, calculated from the current edition of the price catalogue. Unit prices are not published, and items with no link to the price list are flagged as unpriced in the total.
Not yet. The template catalogue is free both for the author and for whoever adds the template.
No. Prices from budgets and quotes are the data of the team that entered them.
