Write to us →Yes. A budget is not a promise that the build will cost exactly the planned amount. It is the starting point you compare your actual costs against as the work goes on. When prices or the scope of work change, you can see what caused the change and how it affects the whole project.
Extra work is common on any build and especially on a renovation. In Quotioo you can add it to the budget as you go and see how it affects the total cost. You keep the original plan and still work with what is actually happening on site.
Quotioo compares the approved budget with the costs you have recorded from receipts and invoices. For each part of the build you see the deviation, that is how much higher or lower the recorded costs are than the budget. When the deviation goes past the limit you set, Quotioo alerts you. Cost tracking against the budget is included in the Construction and Construction Pro plans.
No. Quotioo is designed for people who are building or renovating their home for the first time too. You can start from a ready template, import an existing budget or create your own and refine it step by step.
You do not have to start again. Upload your Excel budget (.xlsx or .xls) to Quotioo, check the items it recognises and carry on from there. Your original budget can then become the basis for tracking quotes, changes and actual costs during the build.
A free account includes one project with no time limit, and you do not need a payment card.
